The Wacko Maria FW20 Lookbook Hits All The Right Notes

The Wacko Maria Fall Winter 2020 Lookbook hits all the right notes. The designs draw on western, military, workwear, rockabilly and Teddy Boy influences, as well as hints of American sportswear form the 50s, 60s and 70s. This everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach works for the Tokyo-based label. There are cowboy shirts, souvenir jackets, faux fur teddy bear coats, military field jackets, cardigans, car coats and sharply tailored suits. Along with colorful prints and graphic tees, animal prints play a big role – especially cheetah, which in co-founders Atsuhiko Mori and Keiji Ishizuka’s over-the-top vernacular is basically a neutral.
