Orlebar Brown’s new IWC Schaffhausen collaboration is a match-up made in nautical style heaven (which on a map is just off the coast of Portofino). Inspired by a shared passion for sailing while impeccably dressed, the nine-piece resort wear collection is the perfect match for the Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph Edition Orlebar Brown. The watches 44 mm steel case is complimented by a marine-blue dial, rhodium-plated hands and a red chronograph seconds hand – colors often used in Orlebar Brown’s menswear. Modeled after the original 1939 Portugieser, the OB edition is powered by an IWC-manufactured calibre 89361 automatic movement with a flyback function that displays the stopped hours and minutes combined on a sub-dial at “12 o’clock” and provides a 68 hour power reserve. The coordinating capsule features tailored shorts, seasonal knits and an unlined cotton peacoat. Two of the strongest pieces are a tailored blazer cut from white cotton terry with navy binding and mid-length swim shorts with a photo print of a Solaris Yacht cutting through the waves.
