Riccardo Tisci’s TB Summer Monogram Collection refreshes the Thomas Burberry Monogram pattern for a perfectly timed seasonal capsule. Originally created by legendary graphic designer Peter Saville in 2018, Tisci enlarges the pattern and translates Saville’s original red, beige and white color scheme into a bold palette of azure blue, graphite, dark beige, and cobalt blue with orange accents.
The collection includes all the requisite summer staples – t-shirts, polos, shorts, espadrilles – but where it really shines is beach gear. Exhibit A, three monogrammed surfboards in black beige and blue. These boards aren’t pretty novelties, the double-concave, single fin design was shaped exclusively for Burberry by Euroglass in France’s surf capital, Hossegor. The collection introduces Burberry’s new B Motif sunglasses and Mini Monogram E-canvas Beach Tote. Along with the Mini, all of the totes, backpacks and bum bags are made from Burberry’s beach friendly E-Canvas, a coated cotton/poly blend consciously made with renewable resources using a process that requires less water and generates less CO2 than conventional coated canvases.
