Ermenegildo Zegna launched the #WhatMakesaMan hashtag as part of its FW19 campaign hoping to start an ongoing, wide ranging conversation about modern masculinity. The goal is to move beyond the one-dimensional stereotypes and culture of toxic masculinity, focusing instead on evolution and inclusion. Inspired by the current push for equality, social justice and inclusion, the Italian label puts a new spin on the campaign – and answers the question – to support the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Zegna will donate 100% of the proceeds of the CHANGE Makes a Man t-shirts to the Legal Defense Fund to underwrite the fight for human rights and structural change.
