After a Spring collection of head-to-toe looks in black, white, khaki and tomato red with the occasional pop of fuchsia, Alexandre Mattiussi’s AMI Pre-Fall 2020 collection is brimming with vibrant pattern and color. Mattiussi offers knits covered in an oversized poppy felt applique, a mustard yellow rain slicker and a multicolored striped sweater in cotton crepe. Dashes of red, green and purple enliven a patch pocket, Glen plaid wool coat along with matching wide leg pants and basketball style shorts. If that sounds like a tough sell with some AMI customers looking for effortlessly wearable staples, the rest of the collection won’t be: a cropped suede bomber, denim trucker jackets, cable knit sweaters with the Ami de Cœur monogram, gingham knits, and a sweatshirt and coach jacket with a retro inspired logo.
