Todd Snyder Celebrates ‘The Art of Pride’

The Stonewall Riots of June 28, 1969 were a turning point for LGBTQ+ rights around the world. Over five decades later, people across America are back in the streets fighting for equality, justice and the value of black lives. Even as the demonstrations continue, Pride celebrations around the country have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and need for social distancing.

Designer Todd Snyder came up with a clever way to celebrate Pride, raise money for the community and support social distancing, all at the same time. The Art of Pride capsule showcases the original work of ten leading LGBTQ+ artists on a limited edition series of t-shirts and sweatshirts. 25% of the proceeds from the sale of the capsule will be donated to charities chosen by the artists. The Sylvia Rivera Law Project, Out Youth and VISUAL AIDS are just three of the charities that will benefit.

“I’m both inspired by and honored to be working with all the incredible artistic talent in the LGBTQ community. With a lot of Gay Pride events becoming virtual this summer, the team and I are hoping that people will wear these works of art when they are outside and embracing life from a safe social distance. That way we can keep this community and important causes the artists support top of mind.” – Todd Snyder
