Oris extends its commitment to improve the health of the world’s oceans and waterways with the release of a new high-performance dive watch. The Aquis Lake Baikal Limited Edition is part of the Swiss watchmakers partnership with the Lake Baikal Foundation, a research center working to conserve Siberia’s Lake Baikal, the world’s deepest freshwater lake.
The 43.50 mm stainless steel diver features a special case back decoration inspired by the frozen ice of Lake Baikal during the winter. Production is limited to a series of 1,999 pieces to honor the year Russia adopted the Baikal Law protecting the lake. Sales of the watch will help raise funds to support Point No1, a long-term ecological monitoring program on Lake Baikal.
