Hamilton and Schott NYC built reputations for reliability and became symbols of military style as suppliers to the U.S. Army during World War II. Pilots in Europe and the Pacific appreciated the accuracy of Hamilton’s aviator watches and quality of Schott’s bomber jackets. This history of craftsmanship and style comes together in Hamilton’s new Khaki Aviation Pilot Schott NYC automatic watch.
The 46 mm case houses the H-30 automatic day-date movement with 80 hours of power reserve, enough to last three days on the wrist without any additional winding. Time is displayed on a khaki green dial with contrasting light green Super-LumiNova hands and numerals. The high contrast of the Super-LumiNova coating offers clarity and readability at a glance – even in the dark.
Available in a limited edition of 1,892 pieces – a reference to the year Hamilton was established – presented in a leather case made exclusively by Schott NYC for Hamilton. The case is sewn by hand using traditional techniques at the Schott NYC factory in Union, New Jersey. Schott also selected each piece of top grain, lightweight steer hide leather to create the band. The Federal Standard military color 30099 Earth Brown watchstraps are made from the same leather used for the flight jackets during the war and to this day.
The Hamilton x Schott NYC Khaki Aviation Pilot watch ($1,165.00) is available now at select retailers.
