In 2012 Wes Lang invited Mats Andersson, founder of Swedish denim brand Idigofera, to a BBQ at his Montauk home. Drinking beers over an open fire, the artist and the designer struck up a conversation about their shared interests in art, music and motorcycle culture. This meeting lead to a series of collaborations between Lang and Andersson’s Stockholm-based Indigofera store.
For their latest collaboration the duo teamed up with Copenhagen’s V1 Gallery on a limited edition wool blanket to commemorate Taking Off For Other Dimensions, Lang’s new solo exhibition at V1’s sister gallery Eighteen. Made in Norway using local lambswool, the Wes Lang × Indigofera Wool Blanket is available now from v1gallery.com and Pancho and Lefty.
