Todd Snyder celebrates the September 12th opening of his Liquor Store boutique by putting a new spin on an old favorite, the Timex Marlin. The New York City-based designer revived the 1960s Timex watch in 2017 before coming out with the Marlin Blackout last year. Designed in honor of the new location, the limited-edition Timex + Todd Snyder Marlin in Olive keeps the hand-wound mechanical movement and sleek look of the original while adding a new green dial, brass case and croc embossed brown leather band.
Located in a landmark townhouse, Todd Snyder at the Liquor Store will mix exclusive designs, tailored suiting and a rotating program of member events – the purest distillation of Snyder’s lifestyle brand. This is not the first menswear concept store in the space, or the first one designed by Snyder. In 2008 the former Tribeca Tavern space was transformed into J.Crew’s first menswear only store – with the original wood bar intact – by then CEO Mickey Drexler, Andy Spade’s Partners & Spade and J.Crew’s SVP of menswear, Todd Snyder. A decade later, Snyder returns.
The Timex + Todd Snyder Marlin Watch in Olive ($199.00) is available now from toddsnyder.com.
