For their second collaboration, Sunspel and Christophe Lemaire focused on four essential silhouettes; a T-shirt, roll neck sweater, shirt jacket/overshirt, and wide leg trouser. The French designer cut three oversized T-shirts and three slim-fit roll neck sweaters from a Sunspel cotton rib fabric developed specifically for the capsule. The balance of the collection is made up by a series of pajama-style silhouettes inspired by prints and designs from Sunspel’s archive. Lemaire artfully re-purposed a vintage Sunspel pajama top to create a modern shirt jacket with a revere collar and piped edge. The same archived pajama set inspired the V-neck overshit, which looses the collar but keeps the piping edge. The wide-fit trousers completes the pajama sets, right down to the piped edge detailing. All three designs are available in dark navy Italian cotton sateen and a Green Marble Lemaire print based on archival fabrics developed by Sunspel over 100 years ago.
