Burberry Tennis Whites Capsule

With the countdown to Wimbledon well and truly on and the world’s top players fine-tuning their grass-court game at tournaments around Europe, Burberry introduces Tennis Whites. The limited-edition capsule celebrates the brands affinity with the quintessentially British version of the game. By the 1890s Thomas Burberry was dressing players and spectators alike. The crisp, new white on white collection is a hybrid classic tennis silhouettes and contemporary performance wear, with the houses archival Monogram – Mr. Burberry’s interlocking ‘TB’ initials – as the central design element.

“When I first started at Burberry, I spent a lot of time in the archives researching the rich history of the house. I quickly became very interested in Thomas Burberry. When I saw an image of his initials, the design felt so special and actually very modern, so I quickly developed it into a new code for the house. It’s a symbol that not only embraces Burberry’s heritage but also feels very contemporary.” – Riccardo Tisci
