While the original Commando was constructed with stiff, oiled competition weight leather, the new, limited edition Commando S is cut from medium weight FIRE leather – a softer, waxed leather that is easier to break in. The leather isn’t the only upgrade. Christian McCann, Founder/Creative Director of Left Field NYC, added heavy gauge brass hardware, a front D pocket, and full body oxblood satin lining for improved fit and durability. But just as important as what was added is what wasn’t. Stripped of epaulets and the traditional biker jacket waist belt, the Commando S is the perfect blend of renegade biker and city slicker.
