Breitling went to Wheels and Waves, the world’s leading motorcycle, surfing, and skateboarding festival, to launch a special version of their 42 mm Premier B01 Chronograph. The Premier Wheels and Waves Limited Edition watch celebrates Breitling’s links to motorcycling and surfing and their new three-year partnership as the festivals official timekeeper. Since 2012, Wheels and Waves has attracted visitors from all over the world, drawn to the festival’s dynamic atmosphere in Biarritz, the popular resort town in southwestern France on the Bay of Biscay.
The Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Wheels and Waves Limited Edition is available in an 18k red gold version, limited to 100 pieces, and a stainless-steel version issued in a series of 500 pieces. Both cases feature an engraved plate with Breitling Special inscribed on the left side. On the dial, time is kept with golden hour and minute hands, hour markers and a red central seconds hand. The black tachymeter scale on the white inner bezel surrounds a red tachymeter inscription. The in-house mechanical movement, which offers a power reserve of about 70 hours, is visible through a transparent caseback. The caseback for the 18 k red gold version is engraved with a ONE OF 100 inscription; the stainless-steel model is engraved ONE OF 500.
“The Premier Wheels and Waves Limited Edition watch brilliantly reflects the brand’s partnership with the festival” Breitling CEO Georges Kern pointed out. “These chronographs reflect the things we love about Wheels and Waves: the energy, the lifestyle, and, as I’ve said before, the coolness.”
