GREATS Royale Knit Recycled Sneakers

Each year, an estimated 18 billion pounds of plastic waste enters the world’s oceans. Approximately 40% of all plastic produced is used in packaging, most of which is used once and then discarded into our oceans. Less than a fifth of all plastic is recycled. In an effort to make a difference and use business as a force for good, GREATS designed a sneaker made with yarn woven from ocean plastics. Based on their best selling style, the Royale Knit is lightweight, breathable running shoe made in Italy from upcycled single-use and ocean plastics. Each pair produced is the equivalent of recycling 7 plastic bottles. The Royale Knit is part of GREATS commitment to support efforts to end the scourge of ocean plastics pollution and stop the sale and distribution of single-use plastics.

GREATS Royale Knit sneakers ($119.00) are now available at greats.com.
