Ralph Lauren’s Earth Polo

In an effort to be a better global citizen, Ralph Lauren is reinventing one of their most iconic products – the Polo polo. The new Earth Polo is cut from an innovative fabric made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, approximately 12 bottles per shirt, and is fully recyclable. David Lauren, Chief Innovation Officer, announced that the new polo is part of a broader environmental strategy to reduce waste, improve efficiency throughout the manufacturing process, and prevent 170 million bottles from reaching the world’s landfills and oceans by 2025. “Every day we’re learning about what’s happened with global warming and what’s happening all around the world, and our employees and our customers are really feeling that it’s time to step up and make a difference,” Lauren said.

The Polo Ralph Lauren Earth Polo ($89.50) is available in four signature colors, each achieved via a unique carbon dyeing process that uses no water in the application of the dye. Buy now at ralphlauren.com.
