Dave Horesh and Brett Mikoll started Oxford Pennant in 2013 when they came across a decades old pennant and realized no one was making tapered flags anymore. The Buffalo, New York-based duo began crafting retro looking pennants, flags and banners with phrases like “Hustle” and “I wanna be like Kanye” with American made materials, mixing their tongue-in-cheek sense of humor with modern design aesthetics. Horesh and Mikoll brought this same old-school sensibility to their J.Crew collaboration. The exclusive collection has a 1950s athletic vibe, with references to sports ephemera, traditional tattoos, and vintage circus posters.
