Stockholm-based Stutterheim Raincoats makes high quality, minimalist outerwear inspired by the traditional rainwear worn by Scandinavian fishermen. Founded in 2010 by Alexander Stutterheim, the collection is characterized by its durability, color sense and timeless silhouettes. Stutterheim brings these same inspirations and sensibilities to his new collection The Private Designs. The purpose of the collection is to create a range of wardrobe staples that incorporates the Stutterheim DNA, while expanding the assortment beyond raincoats and outerwear.
The first product release from The Private Designs is a unisex, heavy-knit turtleneck sweater. Hand-knitted in Estonia, using a high-quality Japanese wool/camel-hair mix, the limited-edition Norrviken sweater is delivered with contrasting beauty stitches where the sleeve and body are connected. These stitches are traditionally added during production as guidance for the knitter and subsequently removed, here they are retained as a decorative detail. The Norrviken sweater is the first in a series of online only product drops that will follow throughout the year.
The Private Designs Norrviken sweater ($395) is available in grey and white exclusively on stutterheim.com.
