Thaddeus O’Neil joined forces with Birdwell and their creative director, skateboarding legend Natas Kaupas, for a limited edition capsule. As one of the original American surf brands, the California company’s board shorts have been standard issue for serious surfers since 1961. Together, O’Neil and Kaupas developed two vintage style shorts designed to withstand the most punishing waves. The Thaddeus O’Neil X Birdwell trunks are hand cut from Birdwell’s proprietary SurfNyl nylon and sewn at their facility in Santat Anan. Obviously these board shorts won’t make you a better surfer, but they will definitely make you look like a better surfer.
