Watch Porn: Omega Railmaster Denim Edition

In 1957 Omega released the first Railmaster model with a specially constructed anti-magnetic case, dial and movement. Originally designed for railway staff, the anti-magnetic features made the watch popular with business travelers, medical and scientific professions and anyone who worked close to electrical fields. Omega ceased Railmaster production in 1963. This limited production run made the original Railmaster a rare and highly collectable timepiece. Omega reissued the popular model in 2003 with the Railmaster Co-Axial Chronometer and it has been in continuous production since 2012.

The latest iteration is the Railmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer 40 mm with a brushed ‘blue jeans’ dial and denim NATO strap ($4,900). The denim-inspired model has a stainless steel case with a wave-edged design on the back. The ‘blue jeans’ dial sets off brushed stainless steel hands and recessed hour-markers filled with light grey Super-LumiNova. The OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 movement makes the new Railmaster resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. More at omegawatches.com.

The ‘blue jeans’ dial is also available on the Seamaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer 40 mm ($5,000). The ‘blue jeans’ dial includes brushed stainless steel hands and recessed hour-markers which are all filled with light grey Super-LumiNova. The watch has a stainless steel bracelet and an OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, making it resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.
