Earlier this year Alexander Wang announced that his brand would stop following the traditional New York Fashion Week schedule. Instead, he will present his NYC collections in June and December to align with the pre-collection schedule and adopt a system of ‘drops’ to maintain a steady stream of fresh merchandise. For his latest drop Wang re-imagines the ubiquitous retail bar-code, turning it into the design inspiration for a collection not so basic basics.
