What makes art? The latest Chuck 70 from Converse and JW Anderson is the result of the Irish designer’s life-long obsession with objects, collectables and art. Each new item Anderson collects in his “search of the new, weird and wonderful” fuels his curiosity about how things are made and adds to a giant patchwork of information that propels his creative process.
Anderson’s passion for art and craft informs his latest collaboration with Converse. The new Chuck 70 Toy is a combination of textures. Glossy patent leather and terry cloth laces that “mimic the stucco San Francisco” mix with exuberant color – balancing JW’s veneration of craft with his ongoing query of what defines art.
