Prada is launching its first ever online menswear exclusive with MR PORTER. Inspired by bowling styles of the 1950s and 1980s the 32 piece capsule collection has a slight rockabilly vibe. Miuccia Prada loves a camp collar shirt and this collection has several to choose from along with satin and suede blousons, mohair blazers, pleated trousers and a retro inspired polo with an intricate laser cut pointelle pattern. To complete the look Prada designed period appropriate creepers, penny loafers, cap-toe derbies and cap-toe sneakers in deerskin and nubuck. The bowling nostalgia/Rockabilly thing is a tricky look to pull off but Prada’s mix of retro inspiration and modern silhouettes make it easy.
