Nordstrom just opened its first New York City flagship and first ever stand-alone men’s store on the corner of West 57th Street and 8th Avenue. The three story 47,000 square foot location will stock a dizzying array of brands, along with a range of services from three-hour same day delivery anywhere in Manhattan to a 24/7 Buy Online & Pick-Up in Store option.
In a first for Nordstrom, the men’s flagship will also feature designer shops by Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Dior and Valentino. Artist Marc Hundley designed a Comme des Garçons shop with one of the largest selections of CDG brands in the metro area (above). The Nike Men’s Project will stock the latest sneakers and performance apparel while the Levi’s Tailor Shop will carry one of the largest selections of Levi’s Authorized Vintage denim in existence (below).
The Men’s Store will also feature a restaurant with views of Central Park and Columbus circle. The Clubhouse Bar serves hand-crafted cocktails, fine wines and a seasonal menu of snacks. You can also get a buzz going at The Coffee Shop which has draft beer on tap in addition to Toby’s Estate Coffee, a small batch roaster based in Brooklyn. The best Men’s Store exclusive might just be Murdock London’s first U.S. location. Since opening his first Murdock barbershop in Shoreditch, London Brendan Murdock and his incredibly competent crew have turned the traditional barbershop experience into an exercise in style.
The Nordstrom Men’s Store NYC opens today at 235 West 57th Street.
