Drake’s X Filippo Caramazza

London haberdasher Drake’s teamed up with experimental painter Filippo Caramazza to create a range of limited edition pocket squares. Each pocket square is printed with an image from Caramazza’s 2017 ‘Harlem Air Shaft’ series, a group of works inspired by an early Duke Ellington composition. The distinctive ‘folded’ paintings bold use of color, negative space and decorative borders makes them a perfect match for Drake’s signature pocket squares. Filippo Caramazza for Drake’s is available now at drakes.com.

“A square is so simple and versatile, and an inexpensive way to own a work of art – hung on a wall, or as part of an outfit. When Michael [Hill, Creative Director of Drake’s] visited the studio, he was very open-minded about things so the whole process was very straightforward. We decided on a number of existing folded paintings. The paintings in this series often consist of a central motif along with a decorative border, so stylistically they seemed to lend themselves to pocket squares. – Filippo Caramazza
