Rolex is introducing three new versions of the GMT-Master II with a brand new movement at Baselworld 2018. All three models have a 40 mm case with bidirectional rotatable 24-hour graduated bezel featuring an engraved two-tone Cerachrom ceramic insert. Inside the case is a new-generation movement developed and manufactured entirely by Rolex. The calibre 3235 is a self-winding mechanical movement offering distinct improvements in precision, reliability, power reserve and resistance to shocks and magnetism. Originally designed in collaboration with Pan American Airways for their pilots and navigators and able to display two-time zones at once, the GMT-Master II is the perfect watch for serious travelers.
Rolex is launching its first GMT-Master II with a Cerachrom insert in red and blue ceramic built with Oystersteel and attached to a five-link Jubilee bracelet. This new red and blue combination is similar to the original GMT-Master, released in 1955. Priced from $9,250. For details go to rolex.com.
In another first, Rolex is introducing 18 ct gold to the range. The GMT-Master II Everose Rolesor (above) bridges the gap, combining Oystersteel and 18 ct Everose gold. The GMT-Master II Everose (below) is crafted entirely from 18 ct Everose gold. The bezels of both versions are Cerachrom inserts in a black and newly developed brown ceramic with GMT-Master II inscribed on the dial.
