Todd Snyder sourced some of the fabrics used in the SS18 Sutton Suit collection from Vitale Barberis Canonico and Tollegno 1900. Vitale Barberis Canonico is one of Italy’s oldest mills. Established in 1663, Barberis has been a family owned business for 15 generations. Their largest customer is Ermenegildo Zegna – safe to say they know a thing or two about suiting.
Tollegno 1900 is a world leader in the production of yarns and fabrics and one of the last mills to spin their own yarn. Renowned for its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, Tollegno produces its energy through a hydroelectric plant and solar panels to minimize their carbon footprint. Tollegno also tracks and certifies their production chain from “Sheep to Shop” to insure sustainability and quality. Not bad for a company that’s been around for 118 years.
