It can take a few seasons for young designers to sort out their aesthetic while simultaneously trying to manage and grow their business. This is what makes the evolution of Hentsch Man so impressive. Launched in 2008 by Alexia Hentsch and Max von Hurter with the sole mission of creating the perfect white shirt the line has quickly grown to include everything from sunglasses and bags to shoes. This season the London label added denim to the mix for the first time.
The Autumn/Winter 2015 Peep Show collection is a masterful mash-up of street, surf, grunge and Savile Row. Cobbling together mismatched patterns, a Breton striped shirt with a windowpane print trucker jacket, and bold colors, tailored suits in tomato red, evergreen and cerulean, Hentsch and von Hurter make it all work with tidy silhouettes and precision craftsmanship – producing eminently wearable sportswear.
