adidas Originals x Y’s by YOHJI YAMAMOTO

Over a decade ago designer Yohji Yamamoto helped to redefine luxury sportswear with his groundbreaking Y3 collection for adidas. Yamamoto’s interpretation of the classic 3-stripe adidas logo made Y3 one of the most recognizable & successful designer sportswear collaborations. Now, Yamamoto has reworked the adidas Originals Superstar for his Y’s line. The limited edition Y’s Super Position is a luxurious take on the iconic shell toe trainer, with premium materials and a reinterpretation of the iconic 3 stripes. The adidas logo is rendered with 3 rows of zig-zag stitching down the side panels with the threads intentionally left long, giving the wearer the choice of cutting it off or leaving it to fray naturally.

The Y’s Super Position is available in two color ways: a predominately white shoe with red 3-Stripes and black heel tab, and a mostly black version with white toe box, sole and heel tab and beige 3-Stripes stitch. The shoes will be sold at specialty retailers worldwide and at Y’s stores in Tokyo, London, Berlin and Paris and a selection of fine fashion retailers worldwide.
