Japanese designer Ichiro Nakasu is focused on obsessed with process. The name of Nakasu’s collection reflects his intent, orSlow, means slow and careful creation. Nakasu’s creative process starts with designing the threads for each garment in his Hyogo, Japan studio. Each highly detailed garment is crafted using old school Union Special and Singer sewing machines from the 1950’s & 60’s. The denim and apparel collection, inspired by American workwear and vintage army fatigues, uses original hardware and finishes to give the garments a vintage feel with a modern silhouette.
