Jonathan Saunders Autumn Winter 2013

From pastel shades to vibrant, almost unnatural shades of sky blue, acid green and poppy red, color and texture are what Jonathan Saunders does best. Starting with his first full menswear collection for Spring 2011, Saunders has consistently delivered a delightfully unexpected mix of patterns and palettes with an ever-changing roster of artistic inspiration. Previously inspired by English painter David Hockney and Hungarian op-artist Victor Vasarely, for Fall 2013 Saunders took his inspiration from Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, famous for his use of natural and atmospheric elements in his work. This pastoral inspiration was evident in his choice of autumnal colors and natural fibers for an outerwear focused collection.
