The historic Linlithgow Palace outside Edinburgh was the setting for Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art. This year’s show celebrated Scottish craftsmanship and tradition. Chanel has been using Scottish cashmere for years and this summer saved a local producer from bankruptcy when it purchased Barrie knitwear. The Métiers d’Art show is a celebration of artisanal skill and part of Chanel’s mission to save endangered crafts and traditional technique. With tweeds, cardigans, knits and cashmere, this year’s Métiers d’Art was a tour de force of Scottish craftsmanship and fashion tradition.
