Jonathan Saunders Spring Summer 2013 drew inspiration from The Thin White Duke, David Bowie’s persona circa 1976, and Hungarian op-artist Victor Vasarely. Saunders, known for his tailoring and use of color, wanted to use this collection to create continuity between his mens and women’s collections. “My woman is quite smart and quite dressed and I felt my guy should be the same. I wanted to show someone who can wear colour and print and still look quite masculine and Bowie is very much someone who can pull all of those elements together,” he says.
