Barbour x Paul Smith Capsule Collection

British heritage brand Barbour has tapped Paul Smith Jeans for its latest collaboration. The Fall/Winter 2012 collection features deft interpretations of two Barbour classics; the Fieldman Trad and Seafarer. The Fieldman Trad achieves a well-worn look with faded wax patches and the Seafarer has a nautical feel with a Breton stripe lining and zig-zag stitching.

Ian Bergin, Barbour’s head of menswear, told the Telegraph, “With any collaboration that we do, it has to add interest and create something special for our brand. By bringing together Barbour and Paul Smith Jeans, two very British companies, we have created a collection that is unique and fun yet still reflects the core values of the Barbour brand, fitness for purpose, quality, durability and attention to detail.”

For his part, Smith is also pleased to be part of the project. “I have always been a fan of Barbour,” he said. “This has been a great opportunity to collaborate on a collection that combines the British heritage and identities of both companies.”

The Land And The Sea capsule collection is available from September 15 online and at selected Paul Smith and Barbour shops.
