Kris Van Assche used the ultimate basic — the humble T-shirt — as the main prop for a collection that was all about deformalizing men’s wear staples. Suit jackets sported same-fabric T-shirt sleeves over their regular sleeves, while T-shirt bodies sprouted long, crisp shirtsleeves. Also marrying formal and casual, raw denim jeans came with dress-pant pleats. Things looked a tad gimmicky at times. The simplest looks worked best, such as a white T-shirt with a band of white shirt fabric at the hem, paired with a tailored take on athletic pants. From WWD.
