Umit Benan replaced Milan Vukmirovic as Trussardi’s creative director in 2011. The Turkish designer, who studied at London’s Central Saint Martins and Parsons in New York, has worked for Marc Jacobs, Sophie Theallet and Pollini. In 2009 he started his own label, Umit Benan, and promptly won the Who Is On Next award from Pitti Imagine.
