Coordination Is Key

Once upon a time matching your shirt, pants and jacket was a fashion don’t. Gentlemen, times have changed – on the runways and in magazine editorials at least. “Matchy matchy” is apparently what it’s all about. But like most “new” ideas in fashion this trend was once the norm. Into the 1980’s being well dressed required a certain amount of coordination. It wasn’t until the 1990’s and the dawn of multiculturalism that eclectic mixing and matching truly became the norm. And now we have come full circle. From established European designers like Valentino and Burberry to bright new stars, Mark McNairy, Dries Van Note and Michael Bastian, coordination is key.
